TELECOMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT

The Telecommunications Department comprises the following units:

  1. Unit – Centre for Communications, Relay Stations and Monitoring
  2. Unit – Programme and Service Connections
  3. Teleport Centre

 

Implementation of activities

 

Implementation of regular activities at the transmission/repeater centres

  • To monitor the operation of the means,
  • In the event of a defect of the work equipment to enable continuous broadcasting by starting the spare means,
  • To provide the Terminal with information about any irregularities in the operation in accordance with the procedure. Functioning of the Unit for Programme and Service Connections within the Telecommunications Department,
  • If they are able to eliminate the current defect of the working means,
  • If it succeeds/fails to eliminate the defect, to re-notify the terminal,
  • To take care of hygiene in accordance with the Annual Hygiene Plan for the means of work and premises.

Implementation of regular activities of the Unit for Programme and Service Connections

The employees of the Unit for Programme and Service Connections have the following obligations:

  • Upon previously submitted requests to establish/reconnect links and to check and monitor them,
  • To monitor the operation of the means,
  • In the event of a defect, if they are able to remove the defect of the working means,
  • To inform the terminal about any irregularities in the operation in accordance with the procedure. Functioning of the Unit – Centre for Communications, Relay Stations and Monitoring, within the Telecommunications Department,
  • If it succeeds/fails to eliminate the defect, to re-notify the centre,
  • To take care of the hygiene in accordance with the Annual Hygiene Plan for the means of work and premises.

Implementation of the activities in the departments

Defect removal operations:

Upon receiving information from the employees in the terminal for a particular defect, the department heads act based on the maintenance procedure.

Obligation of the employees who have received a working and a travel order from the head to contact the terminal in the Telecommunications Department and provide information for the employees who take the trip, the place and the type of intervention, the time of their departure. Upon their return from the trip they are also obliged to contact the terminal and provide information on the intervention and time of arrival from the trip.
